Your Design and Build journey begins with an initial meeting with one of our experienced Design and Build Consultants. They will ask you about your vision, requirements, preferences and budget so that a specific Design Brief can be developed. Our selection of award-winning concept plans are a great place to start, or visit one of our showhomes. Working with a dedicated Design and Build Consultant you can select a plan that best suits your needs, and adapt it to truly make it your own and to optimise your site.
Once all of the plans, costing and working drawings are approved, you will enter into a Registered Master Builders approved contract. This contract acts as the legal agreement between you and Mike Greer Homes. It outlines standard milestone payments that need to be made on retrospective work so you never pay for any work not already completed. At contract signing you, you will also be asked to make a deposit (up to 10% of the contract value) on your new home.
The experienced Compliance and Consent teams within Mike Greer Homes take care of the mandatory consent process to ensure all legal and council requirements are in order. While this work and consultation is happening, you make the exciting final decisions about colors and materials that truly make your house a home. Mike Greer Homes partners with leading industry suppliers so you benefit from a great selection of fixtures and fittings from reputable brands. Plus, you can visit the range of Mike Greer Homes showhomes for further inspiration and advice on those important finishing touches.
Construction of your home is overseen by your Mike Greer Homes Project Manager who will communicate with you and keep you informed every step of the way, from planned site visits to progress photography and email updates. Mike Greer Homes obviously complies with all Building Code requirements but we also have a robust Quality Assurance programme that sees site work being checked by a qualified Foreman at regular states of the build process. Our payment plan reflects the Master Build contract with staged payments based on project milestones throughout the construction of your new home.
Once construction is completed and signed off, Mike Greer Homes formalises 'Practical Completion' and a Code of Compliance application is submitted. You will then be advised when you can move into your home. The Mike Greer Homes team will ensure you are settled, present you with a gift basket, and formally advise you of our After Sales Cre progamme so you can organise to meet the Mike Greer Homes Foreman on-site for post-build quality checks.
